Regular Printmaking Demonstrations in FY2018

At the request of people who wish to get a firsthand look at how woodcut prints are produced, the foundation holds regular woodcut printmaking demonstrations six times a year at its permanent exhibition showroom. At the demonstrations, visitors may observe the work of professional printers as they go through all the processes of making ukiyo-e prints. Moreover, specialized staff provides explanations (in Japanese) as the artisans go through the various steps.
