Schedule of Printmaking Demonstrations in 2025

To accommodate those interested in experiencing the traditional woodcut printmaking process, we are pleased to announce the schedule for the Ukiyo-e Printing Demonstration hosted by our foundation.
During the demonstration, visitors can observe a professional printer skillfully printing a woodcut print, while our staff provides explanations in Japanese.

Applications will be accepted by lottery, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications for each session will open two months prior to the scheduled date. Please see below for details.

Demonstration Details
At the woodblock printing demonstration sessions to be held on Saturday, December 13 (morning and afternoon), we plan to feature the printing of Toshusai Sharaku’s “Otani Oniji III as Edobei.”
