<General Comment from jurors>

It was great to see 47 applications including international ones for 2022. Through the screening of all applications, we examined each portfolio’s quality and the chemistry with the woodcut printing. Many works from the applications were done digitally. However, for woodcut printing, “The quality of the artist’s drawing” is a very important element. From that aspect, we would like to see more work done manually by hand. We are looking forward to getting more applications for next year!
